Top 5 Films of 2013

Finally! Our list of the top five films we saw last year. The list from 2012 can be found here.

Frances Ha: Undateable (you will get this when you see the movie), but such a lovely dancing girl.

Before Midnight: The third in Richard Linklater's trilogy, and the most brutal in some ways. Ah, true love.

Enough Said: This might be my favorite Nicole Holofcener film. James Gandolfini in one of his final roles and Julie Louis-Dreyfus who I love, love, love. Bonus: Tavi Gevinson in a small role.

Stories We Tell: It officially came out in 2012, but we only saw it this past summer, and it was the best documentary we saw all year. Sarah Polley continues to impress.

Much Ado About Nothing: How could Joss Whedon plus Shakespeare not be perfection? A match made in quick-witted wordsmith heaven. We saw this twice in the theater.

Honorable mention: What Maisie Knewwhich is currently on Netflix Instant and ready to make you cry like a baby.
