DIY Monogrammed Wedding Vase

S: I saw these painted mason jars recently on Pinterest and decided to do something similar for our upcoming wedding next year.

I used white spray-paint, a Central Market Organics spaghetti sauce glass jar, and a free font from Lost Type. Print and cut out the initials and ampersand you want to use, then use double-sided tape to affix them to the clean jar. Then spray-paint two or three coats. Peel off the letters and let dry. I also accented the top with some blueberry Divine Twine. Perfect for flowers, straws, or pens by the guestbook.

Baby Shower Wish Tree and Decorations

S: The baby shower I was planning was yesterday, and pictures of all the decorations are below. Party planning and crafting facts: The kangaroo paws were purchased from Whole Foods, as was the chocolate explosion cake. I got the pram stamp, large gift tags, and blue ink from Hobby Lobby. See my earlier post here on how I put together the cupcake toppers and white centerpiece bottles. There are tons of shops on Etsy that sell Japanese washi tape if you're interested. (I bought my tape at my favorite local gift shop in Austin, Spartan on South Lamar.) You can get a banner like the one I used from Banter Banner online. (I picked up my Beauty in Little Things banner at Take Heart in east Austin.)

Baby Shower Centerpieces

S: A good friend is preggos, and I'm hosting the shower in a few weeks. I got free decorative labels from here and spray-painted Izze Sparkling Clementine bottles white to make the vases (an idea I got from Pinterest). Done and done. Adorbs baby shower centerpieces within the hour! I am a fan of the simple, less time-consuming craft. The Martha of Ease, if you will. Chop chop, lollipop.
